中国警告美国莫将贸易争端政治化 (China Warns US Against Politicizing Trade Disputes)

中国警告美国不要将贸易纠纷政治化。中国商务部发言人王新培星期三对记者说，美方任何通过政治途径解决贸易纠纷的努力都可能损害两国的经济关系。

华盛顿对中国对美国近2330亿美元的贸易顺差感到忧虑。一些美国议员正准备提出议案，如果美国确认北京在操纵其货币，那么就对进口的中国产品征加更高关税。美国议员说，中国人为压低人民币币值，使其出口商品在海外更加便宜。

两国上星期在华盛顿举行的高级别会谈没有能够缓解双方有争议的贸易问题。

China is warning the United States against politicizing trade disputes. Commerce Ministry spokesman Wang Xinpei told reporters Wednesday that any U.S. efforts to pursue trade disputes through political avenues could hurt the countries' economic relations.

Washington is concerned about China's nearly 233 billion-dollar trade surplus with the U.S.

Some U.S. lawmakers are working on legislation that would impose higher tariffs on Chinese goods if the U.S. determines Beijing is manipulating its currency, the yuan. The lawmakers say China undervalues the yuan, making its exports cheaper overseas.
