An explosion ripped through a warehouse storing "dangerous goods" in north China's Tianjin City late Wednesday night.
The first explosion at about 23:30 on Wednesday was followed by another seconds later. Shockwaves were felt several kilometres away.
The China Earthquake Networks Centre said the magnitude of the first explosion was the equivalent of detonating three tons of TNT, while the second was the equivalent of 21 tons of the explosive.

第一句中的explosion是名词，意为“爆炸”，也可以用blast来表示，如：the explosion of a bomb （炸弹爆炸）。
